Everything a service desk actually needs
Not a ticket list with modules bolted on later. These ship together and know about each other.
Incidents and requests
One queue, priority derived from impact and urgency, response and resolution clocks that respect your business hours.
Change enablement
Normal, standard and emergency changes with approvals, a schedule everyone can see, and the impact on services spelled out.
Configuration database
A CMDB with your own classes and attributes, related to the tickets and changes that touch them.
Asset register
What you own, who has it and where it lives — with types and locations you define rather than inherit.
Email in and out
Mail raises tickets and replies land on the right thread. Notifications go out from your own domain.
Reporting and audit
Build a report over any subject, schedule it, export it — and an audit trail that records who changed what.
Built to the practices you already work to
The data model and the permission catalogue were laid out against ITIL 4 from the start, so the vocabulary in the product is the vocabulary in your process documents. Nothing has to be translated in either direction.
Roles are granular and yours to change: twelve are seeded with every new workspace, and every permission in the catalogue can be moved between them.

Questions people ask first
What happens when I start a trial?
You confirm your email address, choose a password, and a workspace is created for you with roles, categories, a business calendar and a default service level policy already in place. There is nothing to configure before you can raise the first ticket.
Do I need a credit card?
No. The trial asks for a name, a work email address and what to call your workspace. Nothing else.
Can my colleagues join?
Yes. You are the administrator of the new workspace and can invite anyone from the People page, with whichever role fits what they do.
Does it work with our identity provider?
Yes — SAML 2.0 and OpenID Connect, per workspace, with the option to require it once you have proved it works.
Where does our data live?
In Canada. Workspace databases and attachments are stored in the AWS Canada (Central) region in Montréal. OGDESK is multi-tenant by design and can put a workspace in its own database rather than the shared one when that is what your policy requires.
Is OGDESK compliant with PIPEDA, Law 25, FIPPA and GDPR?
OGDESK is built to meet them: a named privacy officer and bilingual privacy policy, notice at collection, self-service access, correction, export and erasure with 30-day tracking, a confidentiality-incident register, retention and purge rules, and privacy-by-default settings. Templates for privacy impact assessments and processing agreements are available on request. Compliance is shared: your organisation still decides what it collects and how long it keeps it.
